Equipment overview

The Hembrug Mikroturn 100 is an ultra-precision horizontal hard turning machine that achieves micron-level accuracy in hardened steel workpieces up to 70 HRC. The fully hydrostatic spindle and slideway system eliminates stick-slip effects and provides exceptional static and dynamic stiffness for stable cutting in hard materials.

Size and form accuracy below 2 micrometers and surface finishes of 0.1-0.4 um Ra are achievable in series production, often replacing conventional grinding operations with single-point turning. The machine handles workpieces up to 380 mm diameter or 200 x 350 mm between centers.

All heat sources and vibrating elements are isolated outside the machining area, providing excellent thermal stability during extended production runs. This design philosophy, combined with the hydrostatic bearing technology, enables the Mikroturn 100 to maintain consistent accuracy across shifts without thermal compensation routines. Now part of the Danobat Group, Hembrug machines serve bearing, automotive, hydraulic, and precision engineering industries globally.
