DOLittle B-Series High-Precision CNC Turning Platform

The Benzinger DOLittle B-series transfers the axis arrangement of vertical lathes to a horizontal configuration, minimizing setup and cycle times for small precision components. Available in six variants (B1 through B6), each configuration targets specific application profiles from simple turning to full 6-axis complex machining with B-axis milling.

Work spindles operate at speeds up to 15,000 RPM with through-bore openings up to 26 mm. The tool block accepts up to 19 tools in hydraulic clamping sleeves, and the counter spindle moves in three directions (X/Y/Z) for precise workpiece transfer between first and second operations while maintaining tight form and position tolerances.

The DOLittle B3 variant adds an NC swivel axis for the milling device, enabling the machining of complex geometries including off-axis features, cross-holes, and contoured surfaces. All variants support automation through Benzinger's own loading devices or external robot cells with minimal workpiece change times.
