The Fehlmann VERSA 645 linear is designed for maximum precision in a portal gantry configuration that separates the workpiece from thermal influences of the drive systems. The machine combines high-speed milling and coordinate grinding in a single platform, eliminating the need to transfer parts between dedicated milling and grinding machines.

The automatic loading door on the right side connects directly to automation systems, while the machining area remains freely accessible from the front for setup and process monitoring. Linear motor drives on all axes ensure backlash-free positioning with sub-micron repeatability, critical for achieving the tolerances expected in mold making, medical device manufacturing, and optical component production.

The VERSA 645 runs on the Heidenhain TNC7 control with 5-axis simultaneous interpolation capability, dynamic collision avoidance, and advanced surface finish optimization for freeform geometries.
