The Tornos MultiSwiss 6x16 delivers five times the productivity of a single-spindle sliding headstock lathe while occupying the same floor space. Six CNC-controlled spindles machine workpieces simultaneously, with each spindle advancing through a programmed sequence of operations: turning, drilling, milling, threading, and cut-off.

The machine accommodates workpieces up to 16 mm diameter and 40 mm length, covering a substantial portion of the small precision turned parts market in connectors, automotive sensors, medical bone screws, and hydraulic fittings. With 14 linear axes and 7 C axes under full CNC control, the MultiSwiss provides individual programming flexibility at each spindle position.

Tornos designed the MultiSwiss platform to be as easy to set up and operate as their single-spindle Swiss lathes, breaking the traditional barrier of multi-spindle complexity. The machine produces high-quality parts with excellent precision and impeccable surface finishes, matching the accuracy expectations of Swiss-type turning while multiplying throughput by a factor of five or more.
