PL1011 SAT PVD and PECVD Tool Coating System

The PLATIT PL1011 SAT is the core production unit for high-volume tool coating centers, combining maximum production availability with a user-friendly operation and maintenance concept. Four planar cathodes with state-of-the-art arc coating technology deposit all PLATIT standard coatings including TiN, TiAlN, AlCrN, and nanocomposite multilayer systems in reproducible high quality.

The coating chamber accommodates a maximum volume of 715 mm diameter by 805 mm height with a defined coating height of 750 mm and maximum load capacity of 750 kg. At 3-4 batch cycles per day, the PL1011 achieves high throughput for industrial-scale tool coating operations serving cutting tool manufacturers, resharpening services, and captive tool rooms.

PLATIT AG, headquartered in Switzerland, develops both the coating equipment and the coating processes, ensuring optimized performance across their complete system. The PL1011 G4 variant adds fourth-generation cathode technology with double-pulsed arc and integrated plasma nitriding capability for the most demanding coating applications in machining of hardened steels, titanium alloys, and CFRP composites.
