The Tornos SwissNano is an ultra-compact Swiss-type CNC turning automat designed for the production of very small precision components. The machine produces parts up to 4 mm in diameter and 28 mm in length, covering approximately two-thirds of all watch movement components including the most complex geometries with cutting operations.
The SwissNano's remarkable compactness, at just 0.65 m width and 1.1 m depth with bar feeder, means three SwissNano machines fit in the floor space that conventional CNC competitors need for a single machine. This density advantage is transformative for production planning in space-constrained watchmaking and medical device manufacturing facilities.
Tornos positions the SwissNano as the direct CNC replacement for traditional cam-operated Tornos M7 automats, retaining the production efficiency of dedicated turning automats while adding CNC flexibility for quick changeovers between part numbers. The machine enables turning, drilling, cutting/deburring, and roughing/finishing operations with excellent surface finish quality that meets the aesthetic and functional requirements of luxury watch components.
