MX 8 5-Axis Multifunction Machining Center

The HURON MX 8 is a high-flexibility multifunction machining center enabling 5-axis and 5-side machining operations in a single workpiece clamping, from rough material removal through finish machining and even turning operations. The machine eliminates multiple setups and inter-machine transfers that typically introduce cumulative positioning errors.

HURON Graffenstaden builds the MX series at their facility in Alsace, France, with a heritage spanning over 160 years in machine tool manufacturing. The MX 8 targets medium to large component machining where the combination of milling, drilling, boring, tapping, and turning operations on complex workpieces demands both flexibility and rigid cutting performance.

The MX series extends from the MX 8 through the MX 12 for larger components, complemented by the KXG portal series and U Mill vertical machining centers. The modular design accommodates different spindle options, tool magazine capacities, and automation configurations to match specific production requirements.
