The Sodick ALC600G iG+E is one of the newest additions to Sodick's wire EDM lineup, featuring rigid linear motor drives on all axes for backlash-free positioning and smooth contour following. The iG+E (intelligent Generation plus Energy) technology enhances both productivity and precision through advanced pulse control algorithms that optimize cutting speed and surface finish automatically.

Sodick's proprietary linear motor technology eliminates mechanical backlash, ball screw wear, and the associated accuracy degradation that affects conventional wire EDM machines over time. This ensures consistent cutting accuracy throughout the machine's service life without periodic mechanical adjustment.

The ALC600G handles complex contour cutting in conductive materials including hardened tool steels, tungsten carbide, and polycrystalline diamond (PCD) tooling. Typical applications include progressive die components, extrusion dies, injection mold cores, and precision gauges where wire EDM achieves the surface finish and geometric accuracy that conventional machining cannot match.
